From Chicago, Illinois, Edwin J. Doody was renowned for his stirring
and poetic tribute to the flag of our nation, the United States
of America, entitled "The Stars and Stripes Speak".
Written in 1971, a legion of organizations consistently called
upon him to read his tribute at parades, meetings, special and
political events.
Years later, the tribute has been played on radio stations and
ballparks and now today over the Internet for the next generation
of all Americans.
